LKC Technologies, a developer of electroretinography (ERG)-based retinal testing systems, has been acquired by Ametek, the companies announced. LKC Technologies is best known for its handheld ERG platform, which is used for in-office assessment of retinal function.
In a press release, Ametek Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David A. Ametek's existing ophthalmic portfolio includes Reichert, a long-established name in eyecare diagnostics. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
