Nanoscope Therapeutics announced that it has selected InspiroGene by McKesson to provide US commercialization services for MOGENRY (MCO-010), the company’s investigational optogenetic therapy for retinal degenerative disease, pending regulatory approval. The agreement is intended to support launch readiness, specialty distribution, patient support services, and supply chain management in the United States.
MCO-010 is being developed as a one-time, intravitreal, disease-agnostic therapy designed to restore vision in patients with photoreceptor loss, including those with retinitis pigmentosa and Stargardt disease. The platform is designed for in-office administration and works by rendering bipolar retinal cells light sensitive after photoreceptor degeneration.
According to the company, InspiroGene will provide specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, and patient hub services as Nanoscope prepares for a potential commercial launch.
Nanoscope has initiated a rolling biologics license application submission to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) following positive findings from the phase 2b/3 RESTORE trial in retinitis pigmentosa. The company also reported positive phase 2 results in Stargardt disease and plans to begin a phase 3 registrational study in 2026. A phase 2 study in geographic atrophy is also expected to begin in 2026. RP
